The Art Of Recovery Story
The Art of Recovery Exhibit began in September of 2014. It was the brainchild of two addicts, one with a year of clean time and the other with 2 years. One, a photographer who had not used his tools in months, the other a seasoned artist. They sought a way to combine their talents as a means of using art to supplement and fuel their ongoing recovery processes. Held at the Within Bookstore and Cafe located in Lake Worth Florida, this project allowed people to explore aspects of their lives through artistic mediums they may not have been able to convey with words alone.
Today, the Art of Recovery consists of an art show and film festival that is sobriety and recovery centered. It continues to resonate with a large demographic of our nation and inspires hope in the lives of so many struggling with addiction issues..
